It is advised that you don't wax, thread, or pluck your eyebrows for at least one week before your appointment. This gives Katie the best canvas to work with and ensures the most accurate shape can be designed. If you colour your brows, come to the appointment with your natural colour where possible.

During the healing period (first 7–10 days):

Avoid water — keep your eyebrows as dry as possible. No sweating — avoid intense workouts or activities that cause sweating. No swimming — stay away from pools, saunas, and hot tubs. Gentle cleaning — if you need to clean your face, use a damp cloth and carefully avoid the brow area. Do not pick or scratch the treated area.

Your brows will soften in appearance by 30–50% during the healing process. Over the following ten days the brows will begin to fade and may take up to 6–8 weeks for the true colour to come through. Do not be alarmed if the colour seems to disappear during healing — this is due to layers of skin forming and is only temporary. A touch-up session is usually recommended after 6–8 weeks once the true healed result is visible.

Keep your brows as clean and dry as possible for the first 7–10 days. Avoid shower water running directly over your face during this period to prevent a thick scab from forming. After 10 days you can shower completely normally with no restrictions.

Eyebrow tattooing is not suitable for those currently taking accutane or steroids (you must stop accutane for a minimum of one year to be eligible), anyone with glaucoma, or those with skin diseases such as psoriasis, eczema, or undiagnosed rashes or blisters on or near the area to be treated. Results vary from person to person — eyebrow tattoos generally last from one to three years. Lighter colours fade faster than darker colours. The tones used for semi-permanent brows are usually soft and natural, making them more susceptible to fading than bold colours. Ombré and Combination Brows done with a tattoo machine tend to last longer and require less frequent touch-ups than Feather Touch Brows.

Feather Touch Brows (Microblading) — individual hair strokes are drawn using a manual hand tool for a super natural result. Best for those wanting realistic, hair-like brows. Suits those wanting a natural look or with minimal existing brow hair.

Ombré Brows — shading is applied across the full brow using a tattoo machine, creating a powdery finish. More defined and filled-in look. Great for those who fill in their brows daily. Lasts longer than Feather Touch.

Combination Brows — brings together the hair strokes of Feather Touch and the shading of Ombré for a natural yet bold result. The most versatile option and often suits clients who aren't sure which single technique to choose.
